dogado server and service monitoring
Monitoring interval
The interval between two checks of your service is usually configured at 40 seconds. This is also the maximum time frame a service problem can remain undetected.
Notifications
We notify you of occuring service problems by sending you e-mail reports and SMS. Your contact handles can be changed at the dedicated monitoring web interface all times.
Services
You can check almost every service, like POP3, SSH, SMTP, IMAP4, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SNMP, SQL, DNS, ICMP/PING.
Distributed monitoring
We cross check the results of your service availability with distributed measuring points to make sure, that the results displayed are correct.
Functional principle
When a service checks does not reports "OK", the monitoring service marks this check for recurrence. At the recurrent checks there will always be used another measuring point. If the third recurrent check does not list the service as available, you will get notified.
Webinterface
You get access to a dedicated web interface where you can set all of the configuration settings for your servers and services. This included adding new servers, deleting old ones, edit contact handles and displaying the current reports.
